New Website: The Texas Asthma Control and Prevention Program has launched a new website! Please take a few minutes to visit the site and let them know what you think:
Recent Coalition Events: The Asthma Coalition of Texas recently testified before the Texas House of Representatives Committee on Public Health. A number of Coalition members presented information on successful disease management programs across the state as well as information on the burden of asthma.
Additionally, the Asthma Coalition of Texas recently offered testimony at the HHSC Medicaid Pharmaceutical and Therapeutics committee on medications for the treatment and management of asthma.
ACT representatives continue to visit local coalitions and participate in their activities. We encourage you to participate in your local coalition. If your community doesn't have a local coalition and you are interested in starting one - please email us! We would love to help.
ACT will be participating in health fairs in Houston and other areas in the coming months. If you would like to request resources for events in your area - please contact us.
WE WANT YOU! The Asthma Coalition of Texas is forming Community Action Teams in all the major metropolitan areas of Texas. If you are interested in serving as a point of contact for your community email your contact information to Kim Davis.
