The appearance and increase of seizures are conditioned mainly by environmental factors: irritants (solvents, paint, etc.) and atmospheric pollutants, weather conditions such as dry cold weather or foggy weather. Also, other elements can also intervene the smoking (including passive smoking), and the emotional state of the person (stress, fatigue …).
Viral infections can also be the cause of asthma.
THE NEED FOR A PERSONALIZED APPROACH
Although rarely fatal, asthma has a significant impact on health and quality of life.
Adequate treatment followed carefully, allows the person with asthma to reduce bronchial inflammation. Other preventive measures, mainly through the removal of allergens, are however necessary provided that asthma is allergic; they make it possible to limit the number and the importance of the crises. It is therefore particularly important to identify with certainty the allergen (s) in question to best target the actions to be taken. Thus, reasonable and straightforward eviction measures (ventilation, limitation of carpets and draperies, regular aspiration of mattresses and armchairs …) or aimed at improving the hygiene of life (the practice of a sport, stop smoking …) can have a significant impact on the disease. The eviction of pets is often a significant psychological difficulty. In case of family history, it is better to avoid introducing pets before the birth of a child.
